Mr. Steve Frank was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation on February 1, 2003 by Governor Frank H. Murkowski for a term ending July 1, 2004. Mr. Frank is a former Fairbanks State Senator who served in the Alaska State Legislature from 1985 through 1996 and is a lifelong Fairbanksan.
Mr. Frank has worked in banking and real estate in the past, and now owns and operates Rivers Edge Resort on the banks of the Chena River in Fairbanks. He was elected to the State House in 1984 and moved up to the Senate in 1988, where he served two 4-year terms. He has served on numerous business and visitor industry boards, including the Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, Alyeska Pipeline Company President's Community Panel, and Catholic Schools-Monroe Foundation Board of Directors.
Mr. Frank was born and raised in Fairbanks and graduated from Lathrop High School. He studied at the University of Washington and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is married to Linda Anderson, Lobyist. He is chair of "Alaskans Protecting Our Economy" or the "No on Alaska Ballot Proposal #2", August 22, 2006.
