Carl Brady

Mr. Brady was first appointed to serve on Alaska Permanent Fund Board of Trustees by Governor Walter Hickel from 1991 though 1995 and served as Chairman from 1992-1993. Former Governor Frank H. Murkowski appointed Mr. Carl Brady to Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation Board of Trustees on January 31, 2003 for a term ending July 1, 2005. Governor Murkowski reappointed Mr. Brady in 2005 for a term expiring in July, 2009. He served as Chairman again 2003-2007. Mr. Brady was reappointed to the Alaska Permanent Fund Board by Governor Sean Parnell on July 6, 2011.

Mr. Brady is a retired insurance executive in Anchorage since 1967. He was Managing Director of Marsh USA from 2003-2009 and is Chair of the Board of Alaska Sales & Service. He is past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Alaska Pacific University and served as a National Trustee for Boys & Girls Clubs of America from 12/12/2001 – 7/10/2006.

Mr. Brady serves on the boards of directors of Hickel Investments, Northern Air Cargo, and the Alcom Civilian Advisory. He was also the Honorary Consul of Belgium. Mr. Brady has served as Chair of the Alaskan of the Year Committee, Director of the Salvation Army, Director of the Cancer Society Board, and is a Charter Member of the Aviation Hall of Fame. Mr. Brady is married to Pam Brady and has four children.

** Mr. Brady's 2009 APOC Financial Disclosure form was two weeks late and had numerous blackouts throughout the statements. APFBCC did our best to clear up and read through the blackouts and post them as they should have been clearly made visible. Please review the top right hand corner of each “Individual Investment Transaction Disclosure” form including the total of 12 pages Mr. Brady has filed per:

Sec. 37.13.110. Conflicts of interest.

  1. Members of the board, the executive director, and investment officers of the corporation are subject to the provisions of AS 39.50.

  2. If a member of the board or an employee of the corporation acquires, owns, or controls an interest, direct or indirect, in an entity or project in which fund assets are invested, the member shall immediately disclose the interest to the board. The disclosure is a matter of public record and shall be included in the minutes of the board meeting next following the disclosure.

After the reference to A.S.37.13.110(b) on every “Individual Investment Transaction Disclosure (IITD)” form is stated:”File within 30 days of settlement/trade or first notification date, whichever is earlier.”

Mr. Brady’s “2009 APOC Financial Disclosure Statement” and his “Individual Investment Transaction Disclosures” should be investigated by the proper authorities.
